Parker Crawford, Total Demize Soccer Club under-14, was invited to participate in the Region II Boy’s Olympic Development Program (ODP) event in Bowling Green, KY on Mar 21 – Mar 24, 2013. Parker was the only ODP player from the state of Missouri invited to participate in this event.
This event was comprised of scheduled training and development sessions as well as games against Kentucky club teams and Region II MRL teams. The soccer players attending this event had the opportunity to be observed by college coaches and Region II ODP coaches.
Parker was named to the 2012 Missouri 1999 Boys ODP team as well as the 2012 Region II 1999 Boys ODP player pool after training and evaluation by state and Region II ODP coaches. The Region II ODP team is comprised of players from the 14 state region.
This event was sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), which is the national governing body for soccer. The USSF falls under the auspices of the United States Olympic Committee and the Federation International de Football Association (FIFA). The mission of the USSF includes the preparation of teams for domestic and international competitions such as the Olympics, World Cup, US Cup, CONCACAF Championships and international exchanges.
